“Uh huh..” 

 Madotsuki didn’t want to say much of anything, she felt kind of sick. Must be that chicken changa in her gut.. She just wanted to go home, and throw up, and then go to sleep.. Then play a video game.

 Forget this ever happened.

 Whatever… 

 She started walking back to her apartment.

“that sure was. Now if any one tries to make fun of you saying you have never been on a date. You can get them back saying you have.*we stand up and walk out the the fast food place*

“You are free now. you don’t have to be outside or hang out with me anymore. so you can go back home now.”

 Madotsuki glanced up at him.. “I.. Don’t mind.. you know.. You’re not.. Terrible to be around.” She said that, but couldn’t look at him. Instead just looking at her shoes again. 

 She held out the stuffed elephant for him to take.. “I.. For luck?” She’d got it based on luck. So maybe it was lucky?

 ”..Yeah.. Sure..” Madotsuki looked around, it’s not like she could eat after getting.. all weird like that.. “Dinner and a movie.. That was it right?” 

 She asked this as she got up to throw the trash away.

 ”That’s what a date is?”

“You look very nice today. it was almost like you knew we were going to go on a date today.”

 ”h-huh?” Madotsuki looked at the ground again, god.. Her shoes were interesting today. “I guess I’m.. Close enough to sixteen.” She muttered. 

 ”I-I’m not nice looking, though!” Oh god. She’d just raised her voice. She looked around, and everyone was looking at her. “My hair is shit colored.. My eyes are ugly.. My clothes are boring.”

“This may sound like a stupid question,but how old are you?” ((i bet she is like freaking out on the inside right now))

 ”M-me?” Madotsuki panicked. Oh god. a real question. and he called her cute. What the hell was she supposed to say to that? There was a girl who was in her class, that whenever she was told she was cute.. Which was often, she’d just giggle. and it would melt people’s hearts.

 She gave a small laugh.. but it didn’t sound cute in the slightest, just awkward.

 ”I-I’m old enough.” She said, “N-not a kid, though.” Obviously.

JFD: order 29! your food is ready!

“well that’s our food. i will got get it.* he stood up and walked over near the line of people standing in line to place their orders. he knew that getting the food would make her nervous so he got it.*

*he walked back to the table with the food and set it on the table* “lets eat!”

 ”Thanks..” Madotsuki picked at her food, looking around nervously every time as she tentatively put some in her mouth. 

 Every time.

 She ducked her head down a bit, as though she was expecting sniper fire, and tried to eat quickly.. and if she saw someone looking at her, she paused like a deer in the headlights.. Waiting until they weren’t looking to eat. 

 Glancing up at Snake.. You were supposed to be making conversation, right?

 ”So.. uh.. How are.. Y’know.. Things?” She didn’t know how to start casual conversation.

“root beer please.” *he said just as it was his turn to order their meal*

*he ordered there meal and found a table way from the crowd so that she would feel more comfortable as she ate her food* “well she is a nice girl just shy as all hell” *he said to himself  sitting alone at the table waiting for her to return with their drinks*

At least they had grape soda here. Her favorite. She filled up the root beer, but got thoroughly distracted and spaced out filling up the grape soda.. There was.. A kid next to her using the smoothie machine..

and.. It was hypnotic..

 She’d spilled soda, but by the time the mother had dragged her child away, giving Madotsuki a confused look, she’d gotten the soda off her hands.

 Though she hoped no one saw that. 

 She brought the root beer back to Snake at their new table. 

 ”..Thanks..” She muttered, sitting diagonally from him. If she sat across from him. Well.. Everyone would assume they were on a date.. Which they were, but she didn’t want them to assume that.

 ”Yeah.. That’s good.” Madotsuki gave a nod, still feeling weird about the cashier looking at her, all concerned. “..I’ll just get sodas.. What did you want?” It would give her an excuse to not stand here. In front of all these people.
